DOT 5 silicone fluid uses a non-glycol base that repels moisture and resists corrosion, allowing it to maintain a 260°C boiling point throughout its service life. It is ideal for classic vehicles, restorations or applications where long-life stability is required. Not recommended for ABS or ESP systems, and requires a complete flush when converting from glycol-based fluid.
